If you’re looking for a shorter trek in the Annapurna Region that ventures off the beaten path, then the Mardi Himal Trek is a fantastic choice. Visit the traditional villages and enjoy spectacular views of the Annapurna Range’s peaks. Mardi Himal, located just east of the Kathmandu Valley, is one of Nepal’s most famous and adventurous trekking destinations. The Mardi Himal Trek offers a breathtaking and picturesque journey to Mardi Himal, where you’ll be overwhelmed by the sight of snow-capped mountains, lush rolling hills, and a walk through a pristine forest of gorgeous rhododendron, magnolia pines, and oak tree lines.

The Mardi Himal trek offers a breathtaking view of majestic snow-capped peaks, beautiful green rolling hills, pristine forests of lovely oak, rhododendron, and magnolia pines, spectacular landscapes, and panoramic Himalayan views. This incredible trek will take you through high ridges, terraced farms, verdant forests, dazzling rivers, and views of the spectacular Annapurna Himalayas and Manaslu mountain range in the east; Dhaulagiri in the west; and the towering south face of the Machhapuchhre in the south (Fishtail). It is truly incredible to see.

Highlights

The hike to the base camp is considered a highlight of the trek. The ridge becomes narrower as you walk, and the views become more surreal.
The trek offers stunning views of the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri. You can also see Annapurna Base Camp from below the ridges next to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. On day three, you can trek to High Camp, which offers views of Hiuchuli, Annapurna South, and Mt. Machapuchare.
The trek takes you through rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, and picturesque villages. You'll also cross sparkling rivers.
You can experience the local culture and hospitality of the less-traveled trail.
Off the beaten path
The trek connects two major treks in the Annapurna region, Annapurna Base Camp and Poon Hill, but it's less crowded than other trails.
The trek is recommended for beginners because it's relatively short (4–7 days) and has a moderate difficulty level. It doesn't require technical climbing skills, but you should have a reasonable fitness level.

Itinerary

When you arrive at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport (Alt. 1300 meters, or 4264 feet), one of our representatives will meet you there and transport you to your hotel.
When you arrive at the hotel, you'll check in, and you can rest for a while and freshen up.
You can explore the Thamel Bazaar in the evening to become familiar with the area.
You will receive a brief introduction from one of our representatives regarding the trek to the Mardi Himal Trek in Nepal.
Have dinner with our team and spend the night in the hotel.

Early morning fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara.Approx 25 min.
Drive to Kande. Approx. 1-2hrs.
After a nice, relaxing breakfast, continue your trek to Kande.
After passing through some beautiful scenery, it will take us about 30 minutes to reach the Kande.
As soon as you get to Kande, we'll start the trek to Pitam Deurali (Alt. 2125m), which is 2125 meters above sea level.
After reaching Forest Camp (1810 meters above sea level), you will continue your hike through the lovely forest on a steep trail until you reach Dhampus, after which it will become easier as you ascend to Pothana.
Have dinner and spend the night in a teahouse lodge after around 4-hours of trek.

After a relaxing breakfast, continue your ascent to Low Camp (Alt. 3,150m), which is located at a height of 3150 meters above sea level.
You keep moving forward while trekking through the lovely forest.
Follow the rhododendron, moss, and lichen forest as it ascends the vegetation.
You can take in the breathtaking views of Mount Machhapuchhre and other magnificent peaks as you approach Low Camp.
Have dinner and spend the night at Low Camp after 5 hours of trekking.

After a leisurely breakfast, continue your 4-hours long trek towards High Camp (Alt. 3,700m) from Low Camp, which offers breathtaking views of Hiunchuli and the Annapurna South.
We will explore the vibrant Danphe pheasant as we hike along the Mardi Himal ridge, mostly on grass and with the occasional isolated rhododendron bush in our path.
We'll have to make another trek to get to High Camp's lodge.
From the lodge, you can take in the magnificent view of Mts. Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) as you approach the high camp .
Have dinner and spend the night at High Camp.
