About this tour

If you only have a few days in Nepal but want to see the famous Himalayan Range and experience Nepal’s mountain culture, the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is a perfect option for you. This short trek takes you to one of Nepal’s most famous Annapurna range viewpoints. You’ll walk along ancient trails that connect local communities, pass through rhododendron forests and rice paddies, and see snow-capped mountains.

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a classic short trek in Nepal. You pass through beautiful local villages, rhododendron forests, and, of course, get panoramic views of Nepal’s most famous peaks from Poon Hill—Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna I, and Annapurna South.

You pass small mountain villages like Ghorepani, Ulleri, and Ghandruk that appear to have been plucked right from a postcard as you ascend. This trekking route has a number of guest houses and lodges where trekkers and climbers can stay and eat while walking to the summit of nearby Poon Hill (Alt. 3,210 meters/10,531 feet) to see the sunrise and beautiful snow-capped peaks.
